Whiskeytown Sporting Dogs, located in Northern Idaho is a breeder of champion Wirehaired Pointing Griffons. We place pups all over the U.S.

 

Whiskeytown Wirehaired Pointing Griffons excel as sporting dogs and pets - whether in the field, the show ring, obedience, search & rescue, therapy dog work or just lying on the couch.   

Whiskeytown Sporting Dogs are active members of NAVHDA and the American Wirehaired Pointing Griffon Association.

Whiskeytown Sporting Dogs has been involved with Wirehaired Pointing Griffons for the past 14 years.  Our interest in the breed began when searching for the perfect versatile hunting dog; one that worked as both an upland pointer and an excellent retriever as well.  In addition to hunting with our dogs, we compete in the show ring as well and have won multiple national events in AKC conformation.

We focus our breeding efforts on field / hunting quality Griffons, but we also believe that good confirmation is necessary for longevity of a happy, healthy, hunting companion.

Year in and year out, Whiskeytown Sporting Dogs has produced top champion show dogs, and numerous Senior and Master Hunters, with NAVHDA NA and UT titles
